Portrait Poem 2#

Portrait Poem 2#
I AM poem

I am fragile yet passionate
I wonder whether people will wake up, and realize that we are lost within our own greed.
I hear birds chirping away in the distance, singing a song they once knew.
I see trees growing over, and destroying mankind's creations, redesigning the earth.
I want a world that is equally balanced and pure, where all are accepted.

I pretend that I'm part of the earth sometimes, and embrace its beauty.
I feel the earth, and its overpowering presence that makes my heart ache.
I touch the sky and caress it's blue texture.
I worry the human species has gone to far, destroying our home.
I cry for the pain the trees feel as they are chopped to pieces.
I am fragile yet passionate.

I understand I am apart of the cause that destroys this world.
I say I can change, but I can't be the only one.
I dream of a world with order that protects what we come from.
I try to reach out to others, but change takes time.
I hope to one day embrace the world with others.
I am fragile yet passionate.
